Brian J. Moench, M.D. is president of Utah Physicians for a Healthy Environment and a member of the Union of Concerned Scientists.
Dr. Moench received his undergraduate degree from Stanford Universtiy and the University of Utah where he majored in chemistry. He attended the University of Utah Medical School and graduated in 1977. He did his internship in Internal Medicine at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City from 1977-78, and his residency in anesthesiology at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA from 1978-1980. Dr. Moench was a staff instructor in anesthesia at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA from 1980-81. As well, Dr. Moench did a fellowship in intensive care medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston , MA in 1981; he is board certified as an anesthesiologists. Currently, Dr. Moench is in private practice; he was associated with Holy Cross Hospital and LDS Hospital from 1981-2007.
