After earning a PHT (Putting Hubby Through) degree from the University of Alabama, while secretary-ing for the Dean of Men, and postponing my turn at college because I have not yet decided what I want to be when I grow up, I discovered no degree was necessary to live the life I love -- which includes antiques and collectibles (the selling of); folk art and crafts (the practicing of) and teaching (twenty-plus years of classes through the Continuing Education Department of Columbus State University where I shared my interests in organizational skills, various crafts, decorating, stenciling and faux finishes.)
My husband John, a professional artist (JohnRWilson.Art.com), and I live in a home we designed in the woods on Oak Mountain, in Harris County, near Hamilton, GA. After years of travel to art shows and exhibitions, our favorite pastime now is bad-weather dodging, where we throw a few clothes in a suitcase on short notice and head to wherever the tornados or hurricanes are NOT aiming! Any excuse for an impromptu trip! We are probably the only Southerners who look forward to a stormy weather warning!
