Listening to the news reports of Sarah Palin’s speech at the Tea Party Convention this past weekend made me realize what a bullet the country dodged when the Republicans lost the race for president.

Imagine Vice President Palin talking about  “that heath care reform stuff” and the “economic downturnee” and  “jobee  lossees.”

Consider the possibility of President McCain sending her on fact finding trip to Iraq: Would she have had enough space for talking points on her hand – “troop escalation, WMD-ees, that al-Malik guy, what’s the difference between a hockey mom and a camel?”

And last but not least, during a time when average Americans are losing their jobs and their homes, we dodged the cost of the purchase of Air Force Two – The Dude.
