I'm with you on the absence of a Peggy doll, but I doubt she'd be pregnant as it's likely that she'd be missing the necessary parts. I think you and Gita and I should get together and develop an accessory line. Mattel has already said "no" to martinis and cigarettes, but they haven't made an official statement (that I can find) regarding such things as: girdles (think Joan), bullet bras, valium (a fave of the '50's and '60's set), pillbox hats and more.

Great stuff Terri: About 15 or so years ago, an Australian girl for a joke made a doll for her daughter's birthday. It wore jeans and a singlet, had short hair, unshaven armpits, pubic hair and so on. She called it "Feral Beryl". Next thing you know lots of people wanted one. She did quite well out of it as I recall. Even further back - in the 60s - I read an article based on a conversation between Ken and Barbie in, I think, a New Zealand magazine. In it Barbie was berating her creator for not foreseeing that she and Ken would someday want to have sex - not to mention babies. It was hilarious.

Terri, this is hilarious and a very needed fix for those of us are languishing until the next season. It is truly outrageous that there is no Peggy doll! Would she be pregnant or not?
Or, she could come with a secret baby.
And how about a client vodoo doll we could stick pins in, or a one-legged English executive doll (with accompanying riding lawn mower), or a dog-food heiress doll on horseback. Oh the possibilities!!

Great job. I'm a fan of the show and you nailed the characters. Things do look a little different in plastic.
