Perhaps Sonny is too busy figuring out how he is going to repay his "short term" loan from a south GA bank of $21 million dollars, of which the collateral was all of his property and business valued at $6 million dollars, that came due the end of February.

I've heard that the state is considering paying refunds with IOUs this year. Seriously! Someone ought to look into this.

I am also very frustrated. I filed my return the 2nd week of March. My husband is a self employed contractor and he pays estimated taxes throughout the year. Not knowing how bad business would be last year due to the economy he overpayed. Of course you know if you underpay you have to pay a penalty. We are due a big refund which we really need. We received the federal refund before the end of March. Here it is July and we still haven't recevied our state refund. I was planning to use it to pay my property taxes which were due in June. I thought surely it would be here by then.
When I go on the website they say it is being processed and will be here in 2 weeks. Of course it has been saying that for over 2 months. What would happen if I owed money and didn't pay by April 15. I would owe a penalty. I am very frustrated!!!
