		<description>I watched Mr. Blackmon discussing this book on C-Span and have read many online reader comments.  People are asking very good questions.  1) Where was the North in all this?  2) Why have historians been so willing to ignore it; 3) Was mass emancipation a good thing?   As a Southerner, I have long been aware of the omissions in history as taught in US textbooks.  God bless this rebel-child, Mr. Blackmon, for rising up and telling the truth.</description>
